2010 MUSIC FESTIVAL SPECIALS The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival knows how much you love music, and we know that you want to hear as much of it as possible. Mainly Mozart: ONLY $99 This special gives you a taste of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Bravo! Captivating Classics Series. Celebrate a very special evening of music with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Eugenia Zukerman performing at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater for the last time as Bravo's Artistic Director. Works by Brahms, Barber, and Mozart will be performed. This evening of Captivating Classics will be held in the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, and will feature works by Mozart, Chopin, and Dvorak. The Daedalus String Quartet, Inon Barnatan, and more will be performing. See The Philadelphia Orchestra with Ricardo Morales on clarinet. Works by Barber, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart will be performed.
The Composer's Special: ONLY $99 The Composers Special highlights the female musicians featured this summer at the Bravo Festival. We have female soloists, female composers, a female conductor, and a world premiere! This evening with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra features violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, and a marvelous piece composed by Joan Tower entitled Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman. Join us this evening as Marin Alsop conducts The Philadelphia Orchestra with violinist Stefan Jackiw. Ms. Alsop will be leading the orchestra through Jennifer Higdon's Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winning composition, Blue Cathedral. Have you ever heard a world premiere? On July 20th you can experience the world premiere of Joan Tower's Quartet for Piano and Strings, at the Vail Mountain School. This is a performance with the New York Philharmonic that is not to be missed.
